Improving Public Service Delivery

USAID has been a key supporter of strengthened decentralization and improved local governance in Indonesia for almost a decade. Kinerja – from an Indonesian word for performance – will build on the successes and lessons-learned from the agency’s recently concluded, $62 million, Local Governance Support Program (LGSP) by partnering with the Government of Indonesia to improve the delivery of public services by Indonesian local governments.

TB CARE Project

TBCARE I is USAID’s primary partner for tuberculosis (TB) and multi-drug resistant (MDR) TB, with KNCV as the lead partner. The program works under the framework of the National Tuberculosis (TB) Strategy and provides technical support to the National TB Program and in close coordination with the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria TB grants in Indonesia.

Improving Water Services in Indonesia through Crowd –Sourced Map Data

The Indonesia WATER SMS project will apply new data collection tools and sharing methodologies through Short Messaging Services (SMS) and web mapping to increase civic participation to improve water services. The WATER SMS System will be designed, created and tested by communities, PDAM, local government, and other water stakeholders to become an effective tool to improve water services for the urban poor in Indonesia.
