BASICS is a key CIDA project that is helping to improve decentralized local governance in Sulawesi. BASICS focuses primarily on capacity development at the district/city level to assist governments and/or legilative councils in exercising their roles and responsibilities to plan and budget for the delivery of social services. At the provincial level, the project is helping to provide improved guidance, support and supervision to the districts/cities within their jurisdiction.
CIPSED is a project funded by CIDA. To facilitate economic development and business growth, CIPSED delivers a variety of technical assistance and support to Small Medium Enterprise in Sulawesi.
Using an integrated eco-systemic approach, the program will work on selected watersheds in several provinces of Sulawesi. Within each targeted watershed/ecosystem, the program will focus on particular clusters of communities.
Aim: to generate information for policy making to improve the quality of services provided by Indonesia's local governments.
