Aim: to generate information for policy making to improve the quality of services provided by Indonesia's local governments.

Through the World Bank, Australia is contributing to analyses of spending in provinces and districts - including funding for key public services like health, education, and infrastructure. This work will then be used as the basis for policy recommendations to improve these services. The program is also focusing on improving financial management skills within government. Australian funding has extended the program into the provinces of East Java, Gorontalo and Papua.
