Aim: accelerate achievement of universal primary education in Papua and West Papua

This new program will support efforts in both provinces aimed at achieving universal primary education. The assistance will support the provincial and district governments of Papua and West Papua to improve management of resources and teachers through better education planning; improve teaching practices in all primary schools in six selected districts; and improve literacy and numeracy teaching in small and remote schools through intensive teacher training and provision of learning material packages.
