AIP-Rural main objective is to increase the productivity of 1 million Indonesian farmers by 30 per cent, by 2022.
The program will be implemented in twenty districts of five provinces in eastern Indonesia, they are: East Java, East Nusa Tenggara, West Nusa Tenggara, Papua and West Papua. The program implementation will include research to identify market opportunities, training and technical assistance for on and off-farm (e.g. food processing) enterprises to grow their markets, and small scale grants to address infrastructure bottlenecks to trade (e.g. roads)
