Objective: To develop a tropical plant curriculum which will involve researchers, local entrepreneurs, local communities and traditional gatherers; support creation of an agricultural extension program at each university

Amount: $649,254
Objective: Establish an integrated health data repository and portal (the Higher Education Network Ring Initiative or “HENRI”) which will enable all interested stakeholders to access and cross-utilize important health information; develop and test a curriculum which will enhance the universities’ ability to teach students and researchers how to integrate data, with a focus on obtaining results for policy making, program planning and impact evaluation; enhance Indonesia’s capacity to provide training in research on maternal and newborn health and nutrition by (1) providing scholarships and fellowships for researchers and government officials to study in Indonesia and abroad, (2) providing funds to analyze and publish findings and (3) by building and sustaining mentoring networks.
