International Conference of Indonesia Forestry Researchers III - 2015
Forest provides a wide range of tangible and intangible benefits including ecological, economic and social benefits as well as clean air. There are four priorities in forest management which are timber, non-timber forest products, and biodiversity and forest services. Those four aspects must be prioritized in Forest Managing Unit (KPH), which has been set up for modern forest management in Indonesia. Based on the nine programs of the New Indonesian Government, food, energy and water have become three critical factors needed to be addressed. Based on those challenges and in compliance with the theme of “Forestry research for achieving self sufficient in food, energy and water adequacy”, Forestry Research and
Development Agency (FORDA) Indonesia organize the 3rd INAFOR 2015 mainly aiming at bringing together forestry scientists from Indonesia and all around the world to share information, knowledge and expertise in the state-of-the-art forestry research and development fields; as well as building a strong network amongst researchers and forestry research institutes particularly in Indonesia.
