DO YOU NEED HELP GETTING TO THE NEXT STEP IN YOUR JOURNEY?

We are open for expressions of interest from ambitious nonprofit organizations based in the Netherlands or Indonesia that want to look forward and develop themselves but don’t have the resources to get there alone. Our Innovation Lab is most successful when working with organizations that are open to change and challenge.

As our support is free of charge, we expect our partner organizations to commit a certain amount of time to working with us. In general, this means at least two days a month during the period leading up to the Innovation Lab and for the length of the Innovation Lab. However, the more time an organization can commit themselves in, the more it’ll get out of our program.

Who we are:

The Frans Seda Foundation was founded in 2012, and was named after the highly revered Indonesian statesman Frans Seda (1926–2009). The Foundation is inspired by his lifelong commitment to balanced, non-discriminatory and respectful national and international relationships. Throughout his life, Frans Seda strived to build bridges between islands, religions and nations, believing the importance of an equitable development.

Through focused projects like scholarships, studies and seminars the Foundation aspires to create opportunities for talented young leaders from Indonesia and The Netherlands to understand the challenges resulting from differences in social, religious and economic backgrounds. Aligned with the current global development framework; the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Foundation also hopes to foster peaceful and just societies, address the root causes of inequality, and meet the universal need for development to attain global common good

The Innovation Lab, offers nonprofit organizations access to the strategic support they need to widen their impact and become more efficient, effective and sustainable. We do this by harnessing and matching the talents of young Dutch and Indonesian leaders – we call them Frans Seda Fellows – to collaborate and co-create solutions in a one-week, intensive workshop in Indonesia.

How to apply:

Step 1  Download and read the Innovation Lab Information Brochure for Nonprofit Organizations

Step 2  Submit your application via our online application form.

Step 3  We’ll call you to determine how we can help, then arrange a meeting to do an initial needs assessment.

Step 4  If successful, we’ll start working together towards the Innovation Lab

Step 5  Following this first project, we’ll evaluate our collaboration and explore with you

whether there are any other ways we can support you.
