Split-Site Master's Scholarship Program 2020 for Civil Servants in NTT

The Provincial Government of Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) collaborates with the Australia Awards in Indonesia, University of Nusa Cendana and Griffith University to deliver the Split-Site Master’s Scholarship Program for Civil Servants in NTT, for the academic years of 2020-2022.

This scholarship program consists of 1 year of study at University of Nusa Cendana, Indonesia and 1 year of study at Griffith University, Australia. At the end of study, scholars will obtain two degrees, which are Magister Ilmu Lingkungan and Master of Environment.

Applications for Research Proposal Writing Workshop now open

Australia Awards in Indonesia invites PhD applicants to apply for the Research Proposal Writing Workshop in Makassar (22 February) and Jakarta (24 February). This intensive workshop introduces participants to strategies and tools for writing and preparing research proposals. Participants will gain significant new insight into the logical structures and narrative pathways that are essential to effective proposal writing. The program is targeted for participants from Aceh, East Nusa Tenggara, West Nusa Tenggara, Papua, West Papua, Maluku and North Maluku provinces.

Supported by the Australian Embassy, the annual Awards honour and celebrate exemplary and diverse contributions of individuals in their profession, community, and Indonesia.

Aiming to position alumni as advocates and ambassadors for Australia within their respective fields, the criteria of the Awards include demonstrating leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship and best practices – and having evidence of outstanding contribution to and recognition by their profession or industry.

Skor kompetensi siswa Indonesia dalam membaca, matematika, dan sains pada 2018 lebih rendah dibanding pengukuran serupa tiga tahun sebelumnya. Alih-alih menanjak, bahkan nilai kemampuan membaca tahun lalu setara dengan capaian tahun 2000.

Kabar buruk ini datang setelah pada 3 Desember lalu Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan merilis hasil Program Penilaian Pelajar Internasional (Programme for International Students Assessment, PISA) 2018.
