Vice President Jusuf Kalla is scheduled on Tuesday to attend various activities in the Poso regency, Central Sulawesi, including the "Poso Peak Harmony" event.

The event will be launched to show that Poso has returned to being a peaceful and safe place for residents, as there is no longer a conflict there.

One hundred and twenty street children in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara who normally work to supplement the family income have gone back to school with the help of the Kupang municipal administration.

“All the street children aged between seven and 17 from throughout the municipality will return to school at the supervision of 12 selected staff from the Kupang Manpower and Transmigration Agency,” Deputy Mayor Hermanus Man said in Kupang on Tuesday.

Timor Tengah Selatan regent Paul Mella said harvest failures caused by a long dry spell in the regency has led to food shortages currently affecting 12,204 people from 2,938 households in the region.

As it was difficult to get rice, he said, many local communities in Timor Tengah Selatan were turning to putak, a Palmyra palm tree-based dish that was traditionally consumed by people in the regency.

The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) provincial administration said on Thursday that it was planning to cooperate with the Zhejiang provincial administration in eastern China to develop NTB’s maritime and fisheries sector.

The head of the province’s investment coordinating agency, Ridwansyah, said the plan had been initiated during the recent visit of NTB Governor Muhammad Zainul Majdi to China.

KBR, Mataram - Nilai ekspor di provinsi NTB selama bulan Mei 2015 mengalami peningkatan signifikan yang mencapai 287 juta dolar lebih. Sementara pada bulan April lalu nilai ekspor hanya 2,9 juta dolar. Dengan peningkatan ekspor yang tinggi ini, rupanya ekspor bahan galian atau mineral tambang masih mendominasi dengan prosentase 99 persen lebih. Di NTB terdapat perusahaan tambang raksasa PT Newmont Nusa Tenggara.

Dengan slogan “Save Maluku go Green” penanaman 1000 anakan mangrove dalam rangka Hari Bhakti Adhyaksa ke-55 tahun 2015 ini bekerjasama dengan komunitas Vidhi Gym mewakili generasi muda Maluku.

Tingkat Kesehatan Masyarakat di Maluku Alami Peningkatan

Ambon - Tingkat Kesehatan Masyarakat di Provinsi Maluku mulai mengalami peningkatan, walaupun tidaklah signifikan, namun setidaknya masyarakat terpencil yang ada di provinsi ini kesehatannya masih bisa terakses.

Kepala Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi Maluku Dr. Ike Pontoh, mengaku,  dari hasil evaluasi yang dilakukan ada peningkatan kesehatan walaupun,  peningkatannya tidak signifikan. Namun yang terpenting hal ini perlu lagi tingkatkan jangan sampai dikemudian hari alami penurunan.
