The Australia Indonesia Partnership for Decentralisation (AIPD) is a five-year program providing technical assistance and capacity building support to local governments and civil society to better manage public resources, leading to improved service delivery and reduced poverty.
The program is seeking qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions for the Evaluation of Public Expenditure and Revenue Analysis (PERA) Program. The study focuses on evidence based policy making within the context of decentralisation in Eastern Indonesia. The study will employ a Realist Evaluation Methodology.
RESEARCHER (RES)
The Researcher will support the Team Leader in conducting the field,analysing the data and writing the report.
This position will be remunerated in line with the Australian Aid’s Adviser Remuneration Framework. It is a Job Level 3, Group B position within that framework.
RESEARCH ASSISTANT (RAS)
The primary role of Research Assistant is to provide administrative, field data collection and data analysis support.
This position will be remunerated in line with the Australian Aid’s Adviser Remuneration Framework. It is a Job Level 1, Group B position within that framework.
Qualifications for the positions:
- A post-graduate degree in Social, Political Sciences or Public policy, PhD is preferred (RES). An undergraduate in social science, Master degree is preferred (RAS);
- A minimum of ten years extensive research experience, particularly in conducting field research in Indonesia that is shown by his/her publications i.e. books/journals (RES). Experienced in participating in social science research for up to five years (RAS);
- Experienced with conducting qualitative studies, preferrably in the area of public policy making and using a variety of research instruments (RES). Experienced in ensuring the quality of meetings/interview transcripts and providing supports in analysing the data (RAS);
- Experienced in engaging with a variety of stakeholders including government, donors (RES);
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English (RES and RAS), and;
- Ability to travel (RES and RAS).
