CWS is implementing a program to empower women and girls in West Timor, Southeast Indonesia aiming at increasing their financial literacy, savings, and micro-loan access that lead them to a better livelihood outcomes and to improve adolescent wellbeing as a result of sexual and reproductive health, and nutrition education for adolescent girls and public health cadres. The activities include women’s group-saving and lending initiative to complement home gardening and poultry-raising activities; and adolescent sexual and reproductive health (ASRH) education.

CWS is now looking to fill the following position:

Program Officer – SoE based – 1 person for an initial period of 12 months.

Job Summary: Under the Direction of the Program Manager, the Program Officer (PO) is responsible for planning and coordinating meetings, activities, logistics, reporting, and budget tracking of BERDAYA program. The PO should also assist the Program Manager for all types of reporting and communication concerning the project.  The PO will also assist the Program Manager with other programs and projects of the organization as needed. The PO is also required to contribute research and write new project proposals. The position also requires coordination/ communication with local counter parts and CWS program staff. It also requires managerial, administration and documentation skills.  Travel for monitoring is required. An ability to be flexible in working with local counter parts and as part of a “team” is essential.
