Job Vacancy: Assistant Program Director for East Nusa Tenggara

The Australia Indonesia Partnership for Decentralisation (AIPD) is a five-year program providing technical assistance and capacity building support to local governments and civil society to better manage public resources, leading to improved service delivery and reduced poverty.

The Purpose of the Position

The purpose of this position is to lead and manage a provincial team to implement AIPD supply, demand, and knowledge management activities in order to target agreed service delivery priorities in NTT and across the four AIPD target districts within the province.

The Qualifications for the Position

  1. Excellent communication skills and well developed interpersonal skills, and experience conducting intensive high level liaison with government officials;
  2. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field with a minimum of five years experience in program implementation;
  3. Program management experience particularly in proposal development, monitoring and evaluation and capacity building of partners, including Government;
  4. In-depth understanding of social, cultural, economic and political issues in NTT;
  5. Deep understanding of GOI’s public financial systems and decentralisation issues;
  6. Good to excellent understanding of Australian Government contract compliance procedures as well as the MST’s accountability procedures;
  7. Proven ability to deliver high quality outputs on time and on budget;
  8. Understanding and commitment to gender mainstreaming;
  9. Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision;
  10. Good team player.
