Laporan Google dan Temasek pada 19 November 2018 memprediksi pendapatan ekonomi digital Indonesia mencapai US$ 100 miliar pada 2025, melonjak dari US$ 27 miliar pada 2018. Namun, di Tanah Air, pria masih mendominasi industri ini. Terlihat dari kepemimpinan startup ekonomi digital hampir semuanya laki-laki.

Minimnya literasi digital membuat perempuan lebih banyak sebagai konsumen atau pedagang. Masih sedikit perempuan yang menjadi pelaku bahkan pemimpin usaha di sektor ini.

Sudah waktunya perempuan turut terlibat dalam ekonomi digital.

Research on address and self-reference in Southeast Asian languages has highlighted the dominance of a hierarchical, kinship-based model. Hierarchy manifests itself in people’s sensitivity to age and generational, institutional and socio-economic differences.

Studies of person reference in interaction have shown that the hierarchy-based system is as fixed as it is dynamic. While the terms for indexing age and generation within the same family are not alterable, people can negotiate positioning through alternative strategies.
