The Ministry of Industry launched a digital transformation movement of small and medium industries (SMIs) with technology startups as technology providers, packaged as startup4industry program. This program is designed to bring industrial revolution 4.0 into SMEs.
Currently, the problems faced by SMEs have not been widely exposed, making it difficult to connect the needs of industries and the technology providers available. Meanwhile, industrial sector is the biggest contributor to Indonesia’s gross domestic product, with 19% in 2018 (source: Central Bureau of Statistics). Therefore, digital technology is expected to revitalize SMIs.
The concept of startup4industry program in 2019 is : a competition based on real problems in the industry. The winning team of the competition will continue to implement the solution at SMIs which will be funded by Directorate General of Small, Medium and Multifarious Industries (Ditjen IKMA), Ministry of Industry.
The topics of the competition at startup4industry 2019 are as follows:
1. Integration of ISO 9001: 2015 into Odoo based ERP system
A hackathon that aims to transform the SMI management system by using an ERP system while maintaining product quality through monitoring and consistency in the implementation of ISO 9001: 2015.
The parameters in ISO 9001: 2015 apparently can be taken from the ERP system, making it possible to be integrated. The startups involved in ERP, join the competition! More detailed information can be seen at https://startup4industry.id/hackindustry/erp
2. Build Controlling Modular of temperature, time and humidity control for appropriate machines (food processing)
Improve the quality of processed food product results with machines whose parameters (temperature, time, and humidity) are stable and controlled. SMI products sometimes do not have standard output, it caused by the parameters of machines are not maintained. Engineers and mechatronics experts come along! More detailed information can be seen at https://startup4industry.id/hackindustry/otomasi
3. Design and build a tempe chip frying machine
The SMI center of Sanan in Malang produced tempeh chips, where there are 600 tempeh chip producers that have problems in frying, so far they have been dependent on a workforce that has limited frying capacity so it cannot meet market demand. It is hoped that with the competition, this machine can increase the amount of tempe chip production with the same quality as human labor. Engineers and mechatronics experts come along!
