TRANSISI PROGRAM ASSISTANT

ROLE PURPOSE:
Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik (Save the Children Indonesia) is changing for the better. We've begun to build a national organization that aims to be a strong, local, and self-sustaining voice for children in Indonesia. To this end, SC Indonesia has been designated as a “Member”. As ‘Member’ Indonesia has been identified as part of the next way of new member development, which focusses on strengthening and localizing our voice for children in strategic middle-income countries. Indonesia has been authorized by member ballot to start fundraising locally as a first step towards building a financially sustainable local organization. Future work will also involve developing a strong local governance structure and building key partnerships with local government, the private sector, local civil society among others. Success of the pilot phase will set Indonesia on a pathway to full membership.
Program Assistant will support quality and timely implementation of TRANSISI program activities in target Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) centers in Kabupaten Lombok Utara. S/he will perform several related monitoring and evaluation activities to inform progress of the program and meeting set of program indicators. S/he will also responsible for several administrative task to support program delivery.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

Role Dimensions:
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY :
Program Implementation and quality
- Support the implementation of quality Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) program activities.
- Support other technical staff to ensure that program activities are implemented according to the detailed implementation plan including supporting the technical program implementation in the field.
- Facilitate the delivery of ECCD program implementation at schools and community level.
- Ensure close collaboration with community-level local stakeholders including establishing and developing strong and effective relationships with children, schools and communities.
- Facilitate the delivery of community based activity including community mobilization, training, mentoring, monitoring at school and community level.
- Provide program activity report in timely manner.
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Participate in program evaluation including IDELA, baseline studies, mid term review and program evaluations.
- Participate in program review to inform program redesign.
- Under supervision of MEAL staff, work with Program Officer to conduct regular program montoring to assess progress of program implementation
- In coordination with Program Officer to assess adherence of Quality Benchmark prior implementing key program activities
Financial and Administrative
- Work together with Program Officer to develop program forecast in allingment with program plan.
- Support the Program Officers to ensure timely procurement of goods and services for program delivery.
- Work closely with Admin and Logistic team to ensure timely procurement and delivery of all materials needed for implementing programmatic activity both at school and in community.
General
- Any other task & responsibilities given by the Supervisor and to comply with Save the Children and Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik’s policies and practice with respect to child protection, code of conduct, health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors University Degree or equivalent in a relevant field preferably in Education.
- At least two years of work experience with non-government organizations.
- At least some experience in education programs, preferably with an international NGO.
- Knowledge about Early Childhood Care and Development preferred.
- English language proficiency is bonus.
- Strong oral and written communication skills preferred.
- Willingness to work in rural and remote areas.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to ride motorcycle and with appropriate license.
- Proven ability to implement activities included in a work plan.
- Demonstrated communication skills.
- Proven ability to work in a multi-cultural team.
