Research Grant is a funding scheme of Bank Indonesia allocated for strategic research, frontier research, and model development research conducted by external researchers

OBJECTIVES

• Obtaining research results in the form of developing new paradigms and/ or strengthening and confirming the existing paradigms, associated with the economic policy structures and framework that can enrich research results in support of policy formulation by Bank Indonesia

• Enhance the credibility of Bank Indonesia’s policies apart from internal reviews as well as through high-quality strategic research from external parties.
• Expanding the research network while encouraging the increased participation of expert researchers (experienced / professional PhD) in conducting research relevant to the scope of Bank Indonesia.

BASIC PRINCIPLES
Bank Indonesia as the organizer of Research Grant is the highest institution in monetary policy making and stability of Indonesia's financial system. Realizing the magnitude of these roles and mandates, all of its policies must be based on high-quality research to achieve national development goals. Therefore, through the Bank Indonesia Institute all forms of activities in the implementation of the program must uphold the strategic values of BI and integrity pact of research activities, performance based and in line with best practice, and governance quality.
