KIAT Guru mengembangkan Tes Cepat, tes diagnostik yang bersifat low stake atau berisiko rendah untuk menilai kemampuan dasar membaca dan matematika yang dilakukan oleh anggota masyarakat setiap semester.

Tes Cepat is an adaptive student learning assessment instrument, which can be administered by parents and community members to provide a low-stakes and frequent means to benchmark student aptitude. Individual results are mapped against learning continuum and presented in a simple graph to make learning outcomes comprehensible to citizens.

Learning outcomes of students in remote areas of Indonesia are behind their urban peers. To evaluate KIAT Guru’s impact on learning outcomes the authors developed a student learning assessment (SLA) tool. SLA assesses basic reading and math competencies in all six primary grades, based on the national curriculum and international framework for reading and math.
