Request For Proposal (RFP) “Kampanye Publik Pekerja Rumahan”

The Australia-Indonesia Partnership for Gender Equality and Woman Empowerment (MAMPU) Program is a joint initiative by the Government of Indonesia (GOI), represented by the National Planning and Development Agency (BAPPENAS), and the Government of Australia, represented by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).  MAMPU Program goal is to improve the access of poor women in Indonesia to essential GOI’s services and programs in order to achieve gender equality and women’s empowerment, and support the achievement the GOI’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) related to MAMPU program priorities. MAMPU Program focuses on improving GOI’s policies, regulations and services through partnership(s) between inclusive coalitions of civil society organizations and other institutions that are concerned with and committed to helping resolve gender issues in development

MAMPU and MAMPU partners in thematic area 2 “Improving conditions of employment and removing workplace discrimination”, Bina Rural Indonesia (BITRA Indonesia), Trade Union Right Center (TURC), Yayasan Annisa Swasti (YASANTI) and Mitra Wanita Pekerja Indonesia Indonesia (MWPRI), are assisting home-based workers to support the workers to improve policy advocacy, recognition of their existence, improved access to health and safety services and decent working conditions while empowering home workers through organizing and capacity building on gender issues and decent work.

The need to increase public and private awareness of vulnerability issues of decent work access is essential to policy advocacy. Media responses to the issue of home-based workers have come from several coverage in national mainstream media. It shows that media are getting more interested in raising the issue of home workers. Nevertheless, more intense public support is needed to ensure that the issue of home-based workers can be the concern of other parties, especially policy makers and private sectors who have been associated with home workers.

MAMPU is looking for an organization/consultants that has the capacity and experience in developing public campaign strategies as well as implementing those strategies to achieve the expected goals.
